Our office had a virtual happy hour and myself and a colleague set up a bar in the garage and kept our distance. I opened the wine about a half hour before we all zoomed. Fruit on the nose. The palate was dark berries, plums and earth with a touch of spice. The finish was moderate.

Loads of black plum, black cherry and blackberry but not jammy. Baking spices, little cocoa, hint of corriander. Nicely balanced acidity finishing moderately long with well integrated tannins.

It smells like black cherry, plum and blackberry. The wine finishes medium. It tastes like plum, blackberry, almond and tea. The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium.

Not decanted. My first time with this wine and I'm very impressed, especially considering the vintage. Very lively aromas of underripe plum (in a good way) and baking spices. The palate explodes with juicy marionberries, balanced with very pleasing acidity. This isn't flabby, but nicely balanced and mouthwatering. I don't see this getting better with age, necessarily, but I wouldn't imagine it'll decline before 3 years or so. Really excellent California Merlot.

Big merlot, lots of cherry and oak flavors, finish is heavy with alcohol. Would score higher if it was more balanced.
