Monday, August 22, 2016 - Pours a light, cloudy cherry red tinged with rust. Nose of wild strawberries and white pepper with faint hints of chalk and red apple skin.

Ready on pop and pour, the immediate impression is a similarity to an aged red Burgundy, but with a brighter acidity. The palate generally follows the nose, with wild strawberry, white pepper, red apple skin, minerals and sour cherry. The acidity comes off very bright, like fresh squeezed lemon juice, but without the lemon flavor. Light+ bodied with barely perceptible tannins.

There's a lot going on here; you'd be hard-pressed to find more complexity in this price range. Great QPR. 11.5%abv.
