Friday, July 31, 2015 - My tasting out of the gate, right after decanting for my and Jill's birthday party. Fascinating bouquet of appealing old paper, spring woods and petals, saltwater taffy, bourbon, and creosote. Not quite as complex on the palate, at least initially, but sweet, intense, and somehow delicate. Surprisingly gulpable.

Late night update: passing the bottle. Heavenly.
