2012 Bleasdale Shiraz Generations

Tuesday, November 8, 2016 - Seems like a polarising wine looking over reviews on other sites. Purple in the glass. Strong aromas of plums and spice on the nose. The palate is big and bold dark fruits, a spicey/peppery mid palate, some oak coming in at the end and solid tannins underpinning the whole thing. I drank this over two nights and didn't notice any dramatic degradation between the two. I have a bunch left, so will try one/year to see if cellaring helps

11/11/2016 12:06:00 PM - I am surprise with the review. I classified this as the best young wine I tasted last year. Even bought a few more bottles at auction. I have only tasted one bottle but am hoping the rest taste the same.

11/12/2016 2:37:00 AM - Thanks Bsmith457 for your feedback. By no means do I think this is a bad wine. 89-91 is my good range. A number of reviews said this goes downhill in the second day - not something I've noticed.
