Monday, February 19, 2007 - Steve Rigisch sent this down for analysis and the wine was tasted as an apperitif at our Burgundy tasting last night. One correction I should make to the group and for note here, Michael Browne (Kosta-Browne) did not make this wine.

Open and decanted for 1 hour prior to serving. Reticent nose of dried cherries and spice. On the palate this wine shows notes of vanilla oak, red fruits and playdoh. There seems to be a chalkinees to the texture. Some tannin adds to the structure with acidity in the background. The fruit is not as lush as other RRV wines from '04, in fact, the wine is a bit shallow and with little depth to the fruit. Finish is somewhat short.
