Both are very clean and crisp wines and very much true-to-type; this one stems from the slightly deeper soils of Vertus and has a well-judged dosage. Slightly more earthy and rounded therefore, and a little more charming too, but not as precise and absolute as the Gimonnet. In both wines the stylistic precision is impressive and quality wise there is little to set them apart.
