Thursday, December 12, 2013 - Had at Aria; deep dark red, still youthful looking; the nose was blowing right out of the bottle, deep, exotic, funky, earthy, still a great mix of darker red fruit, plush, peppery, almost Northern Rhone like, 92+ point nose for sure; the palate was a different story completely, at first rich and plush but then the wine just dropped off, hollow mid and little on the finish probably due to the vintage.
