Saturday, March 30, 2024 - A one hour decant. Paired with homemade beef & ricotta manicotti. Warm garnet in the glass. Spice & pepper then some fruit on the nose. Spice, cedar, anise, green olive, and wet stone on the front of the palate and then dark ripe fruit, tobacco, cocoa, and leather on a moderate/long dry finish. As the evening progressed, the ripe fruit became more pronounced. A really nice wine with red sauce pasta dishes.
