Thursday, April 2, 2015 - Trapiche Lunch (Rios D'Sudamerica, Chicago IL): Nose: The wood is there, but it more provides a backdrop along with black cherries, anise seed, black fruits, blueberries, and a touch of wood spice.

Taste: Medium/Full bodied with medium acidity and silky tannins. The feel is plush, but not overtly fruity with black cherries, black fruits, and some spice notes.

Overall: This is an excellent value for under $10. It's well balanced with a nice black fruit core.
