Thursday, April 30, 2009 - I was rummaging through the cellar for some wine for a party tomorrow night, planning on opening a cheap white burg for accompaniment. But then I saw this half bottle which was clearly a bad leaker and thought what the heck? The capsule was cemented on, and the cork saturated through. After straining bit of cork and whatever the hell else was floating in the glass, the wine was a deep golden color. Apricots and honey on the nose. Full-bodied with lanolin and honey on the palate, with some acid zing. A very nice surprise.
