Friday, January 7, 2022 - Pnp. Dark cranberry body looking great in glass. Nose is potent: of pencil shavings, blackberry, mocha, breeze from a lavender field. Very bordeaux-esque, leaning left bank. Texture is glorious and unique, just short of viscous but not feeling oily in anyway. It is rich but earthy, which belies the palate flavors: cranberry and cassis, yes but also earth root, dust, dry chili, wet bark, and forest floor (in a smooth, fecund way). Long, dry, and complex finish.

This is a great wine. I literally can picture Chilean landscape when I take a sip and close my eyes. Nice vintage too. Not young or old, just in its prime. Drink now or hold 3 more years.
