Saturday, June 11, 2011 - Lovely wine this. Typical cool climate nose and palate which just oozes complexity. Very exotic flavour profile with many layers all wrapped up in soft and ripe tannins. Showing smoky bacon, a hint of tea, bright red raspberry/cheery style fruits and a background of spice which can all to often be too prominent in cool climate shiraz (but not here). Beautiful oak keeps everything in balance. Will age well this one and glad I have a few more in the cellar but won't touch again for a few years.
