90 Points

Friday, March 10, 2017 - Darker ruby. Nose of fresh berry, anise, rock, earth, violets. Sharp, linear layers of mulberry, red raspberry, black cherry, and anise on the tongue with earthy sauvage elements. Copious acidity and ample tannin somewhat hidden by primary fruit. Longer finish of red raspberry and mulberry laced with acrid stone and grip. Green elements were not present but there were streaks of tobacco and "pleasantly screechy" acidity on the palate that spoke of the vintage.
