Sunday, January 17, 2021 - So...my FIRST bottle of this from a case of six , purchased back in 2014: the wine is 10 years old.
On nose:damp earth, brick dust and ripe blackberries.
On palate: total follow through of above flavours , in addition to coffee, faint nuances of persimmon and Seville orange peel, and notes of red currant and coriander....a thouroughly savoury wine, with a clean backbone of acidity and softened tannins ( after a 2 hour decant )...a deep purple/ black in the glass, with a bright, deep red rim.....can age for another decade, unfiltered, well made ...great wine with roast pork, beef or venison ...a fine Negroamaro.
