Saturday, August 13, 2022 - Brick red, leaning towards brown. Unfolds to mushroom consomme, forest decay, oak sawdust, and the echo of tart cherry. Medium acidity, tannins very soft and velvety. Palate is past its prime, but porcini and damp earth notes resonate long on the finish, allowing the underlying acidity to maintain the outline of primary fruit. Decent showing for a maligned vintage.
