Thursday, December 15, 2016 - HDH auction tasting at Tru (Chicago, IL): The nose shows some beeswax, as well as some waxy yellow fruit. Surprisingly ripe, with a fair bit of oak use here. The palate has some serious acidity, and the oak use is definitely on the heavy side. A bit heavier, but quite good. Not particularly reductive, this seems to hearken back to the older style of white Burgundy -- fingers crossed about the pox.
