Thursday, February 23, 2017 - Drank over two nights. Surprisingly tight on day one. Not completely closed but a bit rustic with dark fruit. On day two the wine softened revealing a much more pleasant texture and the fruit emerged to the forefront - dark berry fruit along with some spice notes. This is consistenetly one of my favorite Carlisles and is a tremendous value. Perfect as an after glass of wine to be enjoyed on its own. Well done.
