A lot of tasters picked up cranberry and I agree wholeheartedly. There is something tart and tannic going on that becomes more pronounced with air. Perhaps this wine needs time in the cellar to come together. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still juicy and enjoyable but slightly out of balance today. I will hold my remaining bottles for at least a few years.

8/2/2014 12:15:00 PM - Ehrlich, a quick question. Where did you pick up your 2006 Ferrand CDP for $24? Most sources I've seen are in the $50 zip code. Many thanks.

Pop and pour and fortunately this was one of the good bottles. Citrus fruits, minerals, and acid all in harmony. Drinking at peak.

Under screw cap. Popped and poured. Crisp and refreshing and just plain delicious. Not overly complex but I can drink this all day.
