Friday, August 13, 2010 - Opened and served immediately. Golden colour, plenty of bubbles and very fresh nose. On the palate is was stunning. Lots of toasty, biscuit flavours but enough acidity to lift the whole wine. Still well balanced and fresh and very much alive. Utterly delicious and an easy match for more prestigious vintage champagnes from the same era. Over the course of an hour it flattened relatively quickly but lost little of it's charm. Isn't it wonderful when a wine that you expect to be tired and flat, blows you and your guests away? Unfortunately, last of a case.
