Tuesday, December 16, 2003 - Consumed at Fresh restaurant with duck risotto and pan-seared breast of chicken. Bottle brought from my personal cellar. Bright disc. Light-to-medium ruby robe with pink rim. Clean nose, showing moderately intense aromas of dried cherries, cranberries, clove and mocha. Light-to-medium-bodied on the palate, with relatively high acidity and light sweet tannins. The flavors mirror the nose, with the spicy aspect moving to the forefront. Medium, tart finish. Very nice, but the acid in this wine is playing an increasingly dominant role.
