Saturday, July 16, 2022 - Best bottle yet. Paired with duck confit. No decant. I don’t ever decant Burgundies because I like to see how they evolve during dinner. Red Chambolle fruits dominate but this wine is a bit on the masculine side for a CM. Not over the top masculine but for sure not delicate. That’s Ok. Nice balance and not as dry and un fresh like a lot of 2013’s can be. The last glass was the best as the wine became more full and seemed to put on more weight. Maybe a 20 minute decant would have helped. Either way the wine was great.
