  Sadly my last bottle. Will look for more st the right price. No decant just PNP into Grassl Cru glasses. Chambolle fruits dominate. At 10 years old showing savory umami flavors. Drinking great right now. Has the acidity to carry it many more years. Served with duck confit. Really excellent.

  So smooth and harmonious now. No decant. Chambolle fruits dominate. Great acidity. At 10 years so good. Need to buy more 12 & 13 Burgs just coming into their own.

  Fresh, classic, delicious secondary magic just beginning to take form in the way of black truffle, damp wood scents and a fine core of Chambolle minerality on top of a myriad of sweet baking spices on the nose and palate. The acidity works well with the middle weight flavors on this today. Quite different from the '09 tasted a few years back but arguably just as good!

  Best bottle yet. Paired with duck confit. No decant. I don’t ever decant Burgundies because I like to see how they evolve during dinner. Red Chambolle fruits dominate but this wine is a bit on the masculine side for a CM. Not over the top masculine but for sure not delicate. That’s Ok. Nice balance and not as dry and un fresh like a lot of 2013’s can be. The last glass was the best as the wine became more full and seemed to put on more weight. Maybe a 20 minute decant would have helped. Either way the wine was great.

  Decanted 15 minutes then pured back in bottle. Poured half glasses in Grassl Cru Glasses. Red, Chambolle fruits dominate as expected. Raspberry, cherry & rhubarb. Nose is amazing musty, dirty, Earth. You know from the nose it’s Old World. I love this. Acidity is typically high. There is a nice complexity that tells you this is not a Villages Wine. With Villages Chambolle prices increasing like they have I am searching out equivalent Premier Cru Producers in the same price range. Jadot is one to consider. I know their more current Vintages are more but I’d rather pay a bit more for a Premier Cru. This wine is excellent and you won’t be disappointed. I really like the 2013 Burgundy Vintage. Prices are low (relatively) and the wines are very good.
