Monday, May 15, 2017 - Got on closeout at the NH monopoly for $15. Expectations were more in line with the producer than the price, and were completely met. Salty/smoky jerky flavors that fade quickly. Plum, blackberry liqueur, black pepper/cayenne, granite, and black licorice that you can almost feel melting. Complete, balanced, spicy, fresh. At peak, but should hold it for a few more years. 92+, at this price the best Syrah value I've ever come across, and more serious/brooding than a crowd-pleaser.
