Saturday, February 29, 2020 - Inky to purple, medium legs, rim variation consistent with age. Aromas are black fruit-dominant: blackberry, raspberry, black currant. Also present are oak, medium toast, hints of soy, mint, eucalyptus. On the palate, more spice emerges. Body is medium/full. The wine has polished texture. Medium plus finish, below medium acidity. First bottle enjoyed in 2017, and the wine has evolved well. Smoother. At just over $16, QPR is above average. Drink now or through 2020. Consider pairing with beef or pork.
