Monday, January 9, 2023 - Still going, believe it or not! Definitely faded after the first couple of nights but was decently enjoyable. A lot of complexity and undoubtedly a Rhone style Syrah rather any typical CA notes. I got earl Grey/black peloe tea, and a bit of bitterness like tea normally has. Then it moved on to red fruit, maybe tangy red fruit preserves? Certainly an interesting wine, and looking forward to comparing it with a 2013!
