Monday, May 29, 2023 - Decanted after PnP. The wine shows a vibrant garnet colour, surprisingly youthful for its age. On the nose, sweet, ripe red fruit aromas dominate, with cherries and raspberries. The wine is full-bodied with a sweet fruit character. Tannins are chalky and the acidity balances the sweet fruit. The finish is long. Pleasurable but I would have liked to have seen more complexity. The decanting helped open up the wine, and it might benefit from further aging to allow for more complexity to develop.
