  • Decanted after PnP. The wine shows a vibrant garnet colour, surprisingly youthful for its age. On the nose, sweet, ripe red fruit aromas dominate, with cherries and raspberries. The wine is full-bodied with a sweet fruit character. Tannins are chalky and the acidity balances the sweet fruit. The finish is long. Pleasurable but I would have liked to have seen more complexity. The decanting helped open up the wine, and it might benefit from further aging to allow for more complexity to develop.

  • Very good Value for this well produced Barolo. Traditional charecter an a fine exponent of the Cannubi soil. Blackberry fruits, cigarbox, dark chocolate, toast, and hints of rosemary.
Can be keept for another decade under the right condotions.

  • Min sista flaska har legat i två och ett halvt år sedan den förra. Avstår från betyg och notes eftersom jag anar en liten defekt. Drickbar, men lite 'funky' bortom normalt åldrande. Trist.

  • The color is ruby red / a little brick red.

The scent is to the bright side with, bright cherries, a little bright raspberries, a little bicycle tube, camphor, light bright tones of, tobacco, licorice, perfumed by red pretty fresh flowers.

The taste is dry and follows the aroma well in a fairly simple way.
Young fresh bright, slightly dusty cherries, raspberries, young fresh licorice.

The acid is fresh and cleans well.

Tannins, bitter green olives, some green herbs / stalks, green tea.

    Extra info.
A little simple in expression, especially in taste.
Note on the 2nd day. Glass Zalto Burgundy.
