Tuesday, October 13, 2020 - WSET Teaching Level 4 for Northern Rhone (Stellenbosch): From northern Rhone so Syrah dominated.
Light+ crimson
Notable feral-dominated bouquet showing fresh earth, raw meat, animal, smoke alongside peppercorns and dark fruit.
A sharp acidity yet sappy juiciness to the wine, there is clear stem inclusion. There is a savoury gloss to the flavours with spice and white pepper. A fresh, exciting wine with more suppleness as it unfolds and sandpaper tannins on a medium finish.
