Tuesday, February 19, 2019 - 1st of 2 bottles. This is insane juice.
Aromas of lemon and lime, green apple, inflections of salinity, on top of slate.
The palate is enveloping, with flavors of tart green apple and lemon curd, some brine notes, drizzled with rich honey over slate rocks and a hint of vanilla.
This is a complex and delicious wine that displays a Meursault-like richness and flavor profile. There is a long and saline/slate finish, with nervy acidity that puckers the jaws and begs for the next sip. One of the best domestic Chards I have had the pleasure of drinking. Delicious.
