Thursday, September 10, 2015 - Nose on this wine had a weird smell. It wasn't Brett and couldn't identify it but it was medium in intensity and had a earthy/organic quality.

Once that blew off after a couple hours, this drank well, with nice amounts of fruit on the palate, but backed by some spice notes. Did not taste much alcohol or oak. Compared to other tasting notes, I did not find this as overtly fruity as others described it.

Will try what is remaining on day 2.

9/12/2015 6:54:00 AM - We also thought this 2010 lost the spicy flavor. we have had some Morisoli's that wouls almost sizzle in your mouth. This vintage at this time has lost it.

9/12/2015 5:24:00 PM - Tried the wine today and it was totally disjointed and had to dump it out. I am hoping that this was just a bad bottle as I have 5 more left and have enjoyed Elyse wines in the past
