Tastes of slightly stewed red and black fruits along with floral notes. Very little tannins and medium acidity. Has come together and needs to be drunk now as i don't see this getting any better.

Aromas of stewed red and purple fruit with some floral notes. On the palate, it's mixed berry with a pop of pomegranate. Not much tannin, and a good kick of acid.

This last bottle showed a lot of elegance in fruit and flowery notes. I suspect the wine is developing in this character. I am partial to big fruit and bold Zins and this is not one of those but it is a joy to drink

This bottle showed very nice fruit and light oak flavors. it finished nicely but a big mouthful showed over the top flavors---too strong! I have noticed this in other bottles... too much flavor and not adequate balancing feature to make it pleasant Rating would be higher except for this feature

Today this wine struck me as out of balance, a bit thin and slightly over acidic. Lots of big fruit but the end of the mouth showed that thinness. Finish was mostly fruit with only a tiny light tannin

This particular bottle struck me as what I expected: A medium body with delicate feminine features. Fruit seems to dance on the tongue rather than attacking it like many Zins. Finish was light to medium and lasted surprisingly long

Popped and poured. My last bottle and easily the best showing yet of the six-pack, which has incrementally improved over the last couple years. Dark violet color. Huge nose of dark brambles mixed with some under-brush. Blackberry pie on the palate. Tannins are really soft at this point and there's enough acid to keep things interesting. Drink now.

I was down in the basement trying to decide on a wine and once I emerged from the cellar, there was only one slice of pizza left. I guess that is what I get for my indecisiveness. Well, I have mixed feelings about this wine. I am a big fan of the winery in general, and this wine is a solid effort, but it is just not my style of Zin. Candied nose and palate, there is a bunch of Cherry Jolly Rancher here. The nose is a touch hot, despite having the ubiquitous alcohol of 14.5%. I like it enough, but again, not the style of Zin I relish. Very Good. thedrunkencyclist.com

Score is price weighted. Maybe one of the best $15 bottles that ever passed through my hands. Has actually aged nicely and is a real treat. Try one tonight and tell me if you agree.

Nose on this wine had a weird smell. It wasn't Brett and couldn't identify it but it was medium in intensity and had a earthy/organic quality.
Once that blew off after a couple hours, this drank well, with nice amounts of fruit on the palate, but backed by some spice notes. Did not taste much alcohol or oak. Compared to other tasting notes, I did not find this as overtly fruity as others described it.
This bottle was very feminie in style with a flowery nose and front end. The fruit is elegant and moderate red berries. Finish has a delicate smooth tannin along with a bit of spice

A nose of some cherry and spice, medium garnet in color. A medium to full bodied single vineyard Zin, with black cherry, plum, some licorice and spice on finish. www.winelx.com

A very smooth fruit forward zin with a great floral nose, muted pepper and just the right amount of tannins/acidity that make the mouth water for a good 60 seconds after you swallow. Not hot, not too spicy, just right.

I think this wine is sensitive to its shipping, as it sits it seems to be coming to a more integrated wine. This one was smooth and silky with a light fruit and medium tannin. It had a somewhatvthin and seemingly watery body.

My first bottle of a case. I was hoping for more. Medium fruit and varied red berries in the front; the middle had a strange vegetal taste - not bad but very different; the finish had a bit of acid and some nice smooth tannin

Markabky better than the first bottle, after a 2 hour decant it became palletable, bottom line this is a dry dusty, tight zin. If you don't give this time open it will disappoint for sure. Paired well with pasta.

Popped and poured at a restaurant. A bit brighter in color than most zins we are used to. Fruity nose, with a very subdued hint of spice. Quite acidic out of the bottle, but that began to dissipate at the second sip. After it calmed down, this drank well, with lost of fruit on the palate, overwhelming any spice or pepper. Did not taste much alcohol or oak. Might need some time, although the community drinking window is really short. OK for the money.

Served at NYE dinner after about 1 hour opened. Primary sour cherry flavor with mild tannins and a bit disjointed, maybe an 87. Woke the next morning to find some remaining, married up a couple bottles, Vacuvin'd and tried again two days later. Remarkable difference, with the sourness smoothed out and a more restrained fruit emerging, more like a 90. Splitting the difference in my overall rating, but my advice is a long decant or even better if you let it sit open overnight.

Very different than expected.. different other zins we've been consuming from Ridge, Unti, and V Sattui. Enjoyable, yet not my style.. very tangy and almost like grape juice. Tangy fruit is primary. Light tannins. Medium finish. Maybe needs more time, but not sure if more complexity will result.

Cassis, vanilla and black cherry Kool-Aid on the nose, big fruit upfront, which lacks the complexity underneath. Make no mistake, this is a big, fruity Zin right now, but I think that time will serve this well--as that fruit calms down a bit, that complexity will start to show. Patience, my friend, patience. Very Good, will be more with time. thedrunkencyclist.com
