Thursday, September 14, 2017 - Slow-ox 90 minutes, tasted over 2.5 hrs and day 2
-pretty bright dark red no bricking
-somewhat restrained red fruit touch of funk trace tomato herbal
-med/med+ acidity, med weight sappy pure red fruits and some dusty minerality not expressing much earthy spice or complexity, med+ tannins; picks up a more herbal rhubarby note on day 2 with prominent grippy tannins
-very nice red fruited still somewhat tightly wound, refined for a Gevrey, lack of complexity commensurate with a village wine, better in a few years
