Sunday, December 10, 2023 - A little bit sour getting going but after an hour we realized that it was just a ton of astringent character. Blowing off after 90 min, this one shows robust black and purple fruit. Brambleberry pie with graham cracker crust, buttered pecan, red and black licorice, red plums, black olives. Finishes with a roasted cinnamon pecan and red fruit finish. Delicious wine but did make me question opening this for probably 30 minutes. This wine is massive, so it will require at least an hour after its 10 year slumber to come into its element. Drink with a heavy decant or cellar for another 7-10 years.
