“Alluring, with Lapsang souchong notes that weave around the core of gently steeped red and black currant and plum fruit flavors. A strong graphite edge marks the finish, giving this excellent cut and drive. Very suave. Best from 2020 through 2030. 8,100 cases made.”

2/20/2023 7:51:00 PM - We did not decant it. It did reach room temp. No notable sediment for a wine this age. I loved it, but did not think about tasting notes since we had guests. Which is why I copied WS notes.
I’m unfamiliar with Margaux, but felt this bottle weighed well in my narrow window of experience. Per my CT account, I still have another bottle, but would certainly buy again if I could find it. Wino in Encinitas.

2/21/2023 7:49:00 AM - wino my daughter lives in Encinitas and son in Carlsbad. We will be back home in a bit after 6 weeks in Mexico & 10 more days in SD. This is going to be one of the first wines I try along with several more 2014 Bordeaux that I have. I have tried the 14 Brane Cantenac which is lovely. Margaux typically has lots of floral notes of violets, lavender, roses and can be feminine and elegant which the Brane Cantenac is. A Classic Margaux. I will be posting TN’s for the Malescot. Cheers.
