Sunday, February 18, 2024 - A precious fruit laden nose, very precise dark fruit, cassis, blackberry, plum, tobacco, chocolate and cedar. The palate very similar, with cassis/black currant being the most dominant fruit. Also some chocolate here, vanilla, medium tannins, medium acidity. Overall subtle and well integrated oak. Had a 2015 Chevalier yesterday and I like this better. Still youthful, but already in the early drinking window. Excellent, especially the fruit. The more Margaux I drink the more I realize that I am a big fan of the appellation. 94-95
