NOSE: ohhhh … yes!!! only moderately expressive, but the restrained giving is quite exciting!; medium-light savory plum is complicated by notes of light (old) oak, Kalamata olive, citric fennel fronds, and anise; lithe, for a Bordeaux.

BODY: no sediment; medium bodied.

TASTE: oak; flashy; a bit smoky; light/tight purple fruits; Kalamata olive carries from the Nose to the palate; hard to assess upon opening; not particularly tannic, but it does seem tight; not funky; no pencil shavings; not overblown --- a Goldilocks wine --- but I do hope this opens/fleshes-out with air/age, which I expect it will; there's a pleasant old furniture note lurking; a touch earthy. Even better on Day 4: much fuller fruits. Buy again. I think a Drink Now – 2034 window is appropriately conservative.
