Wednesday, November 3, 2021 - Great night of
-2018 Gravette de Certan
-2018 Croix Ducru Beaucaillou
-2018 Pagodes de Cos
-2016 Pagodes de Cos
-2014 Malescot St Exupery
Only 15 minutes in the glass and the wine was already singing- and it’s a ‘14, who knew? Delicious Margaux already benefiting from its bottle age with beautiful dark red fruits, excellent minerality, spice and graphite and maybe a touch of smoke- really well done. This Chateau over delivers for its price point, making very good wines in off vintages and amazing wines in better vintages. Such a great Chateau.

11/8/2021 6:47:00 AM - I tried a 14 Beasejour Daffau Lagarose a while back and it was tannic and closed so I haven’t tried any 14’s since. I have some 12 St Emilions that are just starting to come around. I need to work through those first. I’m sure you are right.

11/8/2021 10:43:00 AM - I only have a few 2012 St Emilions. LB 12’s are too variable so didn’t buy any. Will let you know. Prices were low so just tried a few. I paid $45 for 12 Clos L’Oratoire and $55 for Monbousquet. They will be fine for the money. Especially when compared to Napa-
