A strange showing for this wine, it is cacophonous and seemingly out of sorts with aggressively savory aromas of tar and scorched earth sitting on top of the ripe black fruit notes. Better on the palate where it is at once juicy and poised but still kind of odd. Perhaps an off bottle, but no signs of any flaws.
