Saturday, September 3, 2016 - Crimson with some bricking. Medium to full bodied. Tannins fully resolved. Low to medium acid. Plenty of sweet fruit left in this bottle. Dark cherries and cassis mixed in with graphite and tobacco. Medium finish. Decanted for about an hour but was ready to drink immediately after popping the cork. At the three hour mark, the wine started to show sour cherries and became a little astringent. The cork on this bottle was prisitine. A fabulous showing. Hopefully there are other bottles out there that are in as good shape as this bottle was.
