2014 Hermann J. Wiemer Dry Riesling

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

87 Points

Thursday, January 5, 2017 - PnP at cellar temperature. A little shy on the nose with spiced and tinned pear aromas. Nicely rounded and well integrated on the palate, but with subpar concentration. Flavors included continued pear with blended peach, lemon, and tropical aspects. Guided by silky medium acid. Finishes medium.

Lack of concentration, characteristic of the vintage, really handicapped this wine. It was "very good" to the tune of 87/100.
