Sunday, April 24, 2022 - Served 9 wines for Easter dinner party. Couldn’t have been happier because each wine paired fantastically from appetizer to dessert while pleasing the entire crowd of wine snobs. I have left my rating for each wine below and how it was paired. I also recommend all wines on this list.

Appetizer: Blackened shrimp & salmon spread
NV Champs de Rosé Brut Rosé (90pts)
2021 Blanchard & Lurton Les Fous Sauvignon Blanc (89pts)

Main: Dry rubbed smoked lamb and oven roasted Greek style lamb with asparagus au gratin & roasted potatoes.
2008 Don Melchor (94pts)
2009 Luca Beso de Dante (92pts)
2009 Norton Privada (92pts)
2013 Bodegas Caro (Barons de Rothschild) Amancaya (92pts)
2009 Emiliana Coyam (91pts)

Dessert: Black bottom pecan pie
NV Moutard Père et Fils Champagne Rosé (92pts)
NV Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) Champagne Brut (89pts)

It’s no secret how I feel about Amancaya. I have left many reviews and this will mimic them. It has this crazy deep cherry front and mid palate and richness not found in cabernet at double the price. It’s aging excellent and am so glad I have more.
