Saturday, September 14, 2019 - This wine had a deep red/purple center with oranging rims. The high intensity nose showed black cherries, cola, roasted meat, tan spices, and Cuban cigar.

In the mouth, this wine had incredible balance with awesome richness, acidity, and length. The tannins were light and round. It featured flavor intensity without weight. The tannins were barely noticeable and yet the wine was so rich it was almost "chewy".

This is drinking well now after 5+ hours in a decanter. However, there is still a slightly primary edge on top of all that flavor complexity. The only thing that holds it back from a perfect score for me is the slightly rustic nature of the flavors.

This will easily last 10+ years. Wow!
