Wednesday, December 21, 2016 - I do not drink much Montepulciano so that is a qualifier for this note. Lots of sweet cherry and vanilla in the nose, some slight floral qualities. The fruit is sweet and mouth filling with good acidity. I get a cherry cola quality in this wine like many CA and OR Pinot Noirs. The acidity makes it food friendly but the finish is quite short. A simple table wine that is serviceable.
