Friday, April 24, 2020 - Very pretty nose of violets, roasted eggplant, fresh raspberry and sour cherry. Spicy palate yet pure fruit and a subtle minerality underneath. Good, lively finish that seems a bit smoky and nutty. Firm tannins. This could probably hold a few years. A tough vintage but great effort. This vintage contained some La Cueva del Contador, Contador and La Vina de Andres fermented in small oak vats and aged in French oak barriques for 16 months.
