Sunday, March 25, 2018 - A very pleasing effort and judging by the other reviews, a very consistent bottle. Comes out with a great red-purple, appearance is just where you want it to be as a GSM with a few years of bottle age. Pleasant notes of violets, dark chocolate and blackberry ring through with a present acidity that cuts through some of the "jamminess" in good proportion. Very strong on the finish. We decanted this but drank it relatively quickly; my sense is that it would have benefited from at least an hour or so in the decanted since the wine kept getting better. Despite the relatively light tannin, I'd say this is still at least a five year wine, perhaps even ten years.
