Purple in color and opaque in the glass. Aromas of blackberry, black cherry, orange peel, milk chocolate, and sweet herbs on the nose. Tastes of black cherry and white pepper on the palate. Medium(+) in body with medium tannins and a long finish. I might have waited a little too long to open this bottle but it definitely wasn't on any downward trajectory. Palate folded over and over in the mouth. Great texture.

Tasted blind. Dark purple color turning ruby violet at the rim with a reflective edge. The nose is opulent with floral notes and exotic spices wrapping around red berries. The palate is rich, incredibly ripe, round and polished with notes of raspberry, dark cherry, and blueberry followed by secondary notes of toasted oak. Finishes long with hints of black pepper. Drink now until 2033. 92+

This is a very nice wine, but it’s significantly over-priced relative to similar quality wines from the Southern Rhône. If it was priced in the $35-$40 range, I would be a regular buyer. At $60-$65, I just don’t see it.
Ridiculously great wine- was able to snag this bottle a while back thru a friend on the list and sit on it. Well integrated Rhône Blend that has become silky smooth. Tons of primary red and black berry fruits, and with secondary flavors for days. Wish I had more!!
Give this wine a lot of air, you'll be grateful you did. 49% Grenache, 34% Mourvedre, 17% Syrah. Sweet cherries on the nose. The palate shows black cherries, blueberries, lush, rich, not cloying, some sharp spice notes. Fine tannins, great acidity and balance. Lush finish that mirrors the palate with a bit more spice. This is not an elegant wine at all, but really fun to drink. I'd suggest decanting this wine or give it another 3 to 4 years before popping the cork. With air, it's just lovely.

Really delicious. We popped and poured this blend and it impressed right out of the bottle. Very fruit forward with a little bit of a burn but the finish went on and on. Quite tasty!

PNP. Good and obviously well made, but did not stand out for me. Definitely others in the lineup I much prefer. Finished on day 2 and no noticeable difference.

A very pleasing effort and judging by the other reviews, a very consistent bottle. Comes out with a great red-purple, appearance is just where you want it to be as a GSM with a few years of bottle age. Pleasant notes of violets, dark chocolate and blackberry ring through with a present acidity that cuts through some of the "jamminess" in good proportion. Very strong on the finish. We decanted this but drank it relatively quickly; my sense is that it would have benefited from at least an hour or so in the decanted since the wine kept getting better. Despite the relatively light tannin, I'd say this is still at least a five year wine, perhaps even ten years.

Much better than last bottle as the green stem tastes had subsided. Decanted four hours. Very extracted, firm tannins and lots of fruit. Dark color with long finish. Typical Paso Robles GSM profile. One can go many years more.

APPEARANCE: Nice dark red color AROMA: Pepper, indian spices, and strawberries TASTE: Good acidity and firm tannins. Drinking nicely now with a long finish, but still has a lot of years to mature even further

Paso Robles Wine Trip; 9/12/2017-9/14/2017: Nose: pretty but juicy with black cherries and gushing plums, anise and lavender. Serious grip on the palate, medium acidity, plums, black cherries and fig cookies, highly delicious but so well balanced. Notes of earth, charcoal, anise, spiced black tea. Long time ahead for this Grenache, Mourvedre, Syrah blend.

Decanted for 3 hours. Dark purple color, nice nose and tons of extraction. Grenache is a little green and bitter for me. I've had this wine a few times now and prefer the more Syrah dominated Ingenuity or the Paderewski better but that's just me.

PNP and quickly regretted that decision. This bottle was a little disjointed. I would give it about an 89 at this point. Saved this at room temp till the next day and the experience then was quite different. A really nice wine completely in balance with wonderful flavors. give it a 93. Best to hold on to this another year or two and decant for a while.

2017 Paso Robles; 4/28/2017-4/30/2017: The nose is so new-world-rhone-sexy. Sweet up front and just a touch of bitterness on the back. Soft textured at first, but then a snappy acidity, making the wine seeming simultaneously lush and tart. This is my favorite wine in their lineup.

P: MF, POSS Med, body; Swtish frt (threshold R.S.?) balanced by acidity, the frt/swtness currently masking (I suspect) an underlying tannic structure. LONG, dustily (but ALMOST swtly) tannic finish. NEEDS until Summer '19, & then? (IF the R.S. is not an issue, MAY evolve QUITE nicely.) 95 pts WA, 92 Vinous, 91 & "Cellar Selection" WE @ $65, & 90 WS. [Likely no longer available @ the tasted $52.95, early July 2018's wine-searcher still shows vendors offering this for $60-$73.]
