Tuesday, September 28, 2021 - Had this for my wife’s birthday (birth year wine). Definitely on the downslope from peak, with the acid having surpassed the tannin and, unsurprisingly, no remaining fruit. But it still has some energy—big truffle on the nose, lots of umami to go with the acid on the palate, and still a decent finish. Have two more; will be interesting to see how they compare, but won’t wait too long.
