Saturday, September 13, 2008 - fantastic! nose was quite closed off at first. beautiul berries, tar, dark fruits. the palette was really nice. sweet cherries, blackberries. freshness, extremely balanced. slippery tannins. ranked vs. the 04 heartland director's cut, i'd say i like this one better. better balance, really fresh and everything in its place. had a similar sweetness to the wallace. fruit was really vibrant and intense from the 05 vintage. enjoyed this one very much. still young and will improve!
