Sunday, December 27, 2020 - Rich golden colour. Extremely long finish with a variety of rich flavours including apricot, quince, caramel and Seville orange. None of the cloying sweetness of most dessert wines and in fact it didn’t work well with the sweet dessert we had - better on its own or with cheese.

When first opened (from magnum) it was a little closed but opened up in glass. Didn’t finish it on the night (although disturbingly close) so have tried the remainder over the following 10 days and while it is starting to oxidise it was probably at its most delicious in the last few days. Despite its bottle age I would definitely double decant if drinking again.
