Sunday, November 6, 2011 - Huge nose of currant, blackberry, smoke and a hint of dust and bell pepper. Very fruit forward for a Howell Mountain wine. Good structure, complex, dense dark fruit and an expressive finish, a little bit of heat though on the back end. Ended up pairing it with spicey crabcake at the restaurant we brought it to and it worked out nicely.
